Beginning Experience is a 50-year-old peer-led Catholic ministry recognized by the Archdiocese of New York’s Office of Family Life, which serves those grieving the end of a marriage or spousal relationship due to death, divorce or separation. Its mission is to meet and accompany the bereaved on that grief journey.
The Beginning Experience Ministry will hold a Healing Weekend at the Dominican Conference and Retreat Center in Niskayuna, about 18 miles northwest of Albany, from July 26-28. It is open to people of all ages and faiths who have suffered that traumatic loss of a spousal relationship.
