Along with being 18, Catholic and a registered parishioner, what is really required to serve as a Parish Council member is just a couple of hours a month – and a voice. You also need to be able to receive emails and attend meetings via Zoom.
At those monthly meetings, there are discussions about what’s going on, what’s needed and what can be improved. Each Parish Council member is assigned as a liaison to a specific ministry to reach out to each month for any updates to report.
Parish Council members also serve as church “ears,” listening to parishioners and sharing suggestions and concerns with the other members. In a nutshell, by gathering and discussing this information, the Parish Council serves as an advisory committee to Fr. Sean.
Now is the time to think about who you’d like to nominate for the three seats that need to be filled in January of 2027. A term is three years with the option to run for a second three-year term.
Nomination forms can be found in the vestibules and on the table in Deacon John Hall. They need to be returned to the office by Friday, October 16
